Blair Medical Associates Oncologists and Hematologists are specialists diagnosing and treating tumors and diseases of the blood. These physicians are also scientists who frequently study blood and tissue samples in order to learn more about the disease of a patient. This allows the Hematologists and Oncologists to properly diagnose and treat the patient's illness.
The Hematologist/Oncologist will manage the care of the patient, which could include Chemotherapy and/or Radiation Therapy
The Hematologist/Oncologist will recommend changes in the therapy that are needed. If radiation therapy is involved, the patient is referred to a specialist dealing with radiation therapy.
