BMA's Dermatologist is a specialist who diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the skin. Dermatologists will diagnose and treat a wide variety of skin disorders such as:
- Acne
- Eczema
- Excessive Sweating
- Lesions
- Moles
- Psoriasis
- Rashes
- Skin Cancer
- Spiderveins
- Warts
Blair Medical Associates Dermatology is committed, for each patient it tends, to make each office visit a positive one. To accurately analyze a patient, the Dermatologist will use certain diagnostic and laboratory testing to ascertain not only the patient's condition, but the best course of treatment. Laser Therapy
Get the skin you want from the physician who knows you best with simple, easy and safe Aesthetic Laser Therapy. Aesthetic Laser Therapy is the use of lasers to relieve various conditions of the skin (psoriasis) or provide permanent hair removal.
Who is a candidate for Aesthetic Laser Therapy?
Determining your eligibility for the procedure involves several variables including skin type, age and general health.
How long does the procedure take?
Anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the procedure, the size of the area being treated, and the location on the body.
Does it hurt?
There is a small amount of discomfort associated with aesthetic laser therapy. Many patients have described the feeling as a rubber band being snapped against the skin.
How will I look immediately following the procedure?
It varies. Most times there is a little redness of the skin which goes away in a few hours. In rare cases there is scabbing or bruising. We take every measure to ensure your safe and rapid recovery.
How many treatments will be required?
Once again, it varies. Our recommendation for most patients is one treatment every month for three months with maintenance treatments every three months after, if needed.
What is recovery like?
In most cases, you simply walk out of the office and go back to your normal living. In other cases, there may be special follow up treatments that help the skin heal.
